Medtronic Power Handle M4
Product Features|Common Faults|Repair Knowledge
The Medtronic Power System M4 is an advanced device used for Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Its design and functionality are aimed at providing efficient cardiopulmonary support, especially in the treatment of critically ill patients.
Errors or unrecognized handle.
Abnormal handle rotation.
Loud noise from handle.
Overheating affecting usage.
Damaged handle cable.
Broken handle pins.
Appearance Inspection: The handle is severely worn out.
Fault Phenomenon: The handle fails to rotate the motor when connected for testing.
Technical Detection: Comprehensive instrumentation and technical checks reveal that the handle motor's three-phase resistance is unbalanced, the coil windings are damaged due to breakdown, and it cannot function; seals are aged with saline intrusion, mechanical running parts bearings and assemblies are rusted; internal mechanical running parts bearings and assemblies are worn out; cables are severely aged, resulting in increased resistance, and shielding wire aged. The limiting switch on the rotary wheel of the knife head is rusted and stuck, unable to rotate.
Inspection Conclusion: Damage to the motor, mechanical running parts, and bearings. Damaged seals. Cable replacement is recommended. Rusted rotary mechanical interface of the knife head.
Replace motor, running bearings, dedicated seals, and running assemblies.
Replace cables.
Repair rotary mechanical structure of the knife head.
Precisely assemble each component, adjust mechanical parts and lubrication load capacity to ensure the stability factor of the handle's operation.
