The Bovie IDS-300 Generator’s IDS technology gives the surgeon the flexibility to consistently choose the type of effect desired with maximum convenience and safety.
Cut Modes: The generator offers two cut modes, providing surgeons with flexibility to cut various tissue types without compromising performance.
Cut I maintains constant output power across a wide range of impedance.
Cut II is a gentler cut, maintaining constant output power within a smaller impedance range.
Blend with 10 Settings: The Blend mode combines cutting and hemostasis, allowing surgeons to adjust the level of hemostasis as needed. Settings range from minimal blend with maximum cutting effect (1) to maximum hemostasis with minimal cutting effect (10). Incremental adjustments make this customization easy, enhancing targeted tissue desiccation without increasing generator power.
Two Levels of Coagulation:
Pinpoint offers precise control of bleeding in localized areas.
Spray provides enhanced control of bleeding in highly vascular tissue across broad surface areas.
Safety Features:
BovieFDFS™ (Fast Digital Feedback System): Digitally controlled CUT and COAG functions ensure consistent clinical output. Real-time tissue impedance measurement (5000 times per second) allows dynamic power adjustment for a consistent clinical effect.
BovieNEM™ (Neutral Electrode Monitoring): Improved patient safety through the latest digital implementation.
BovieFCFS™ (First Come First Served): Discrete output design permits activation of only one output device at a time.
BovieDED™ (Digital Error Detection): Ensures safety for surgeons, OR staff, and patients. In case of any issue, the unit promptly disables the output, triggers an alarm, and displays the relevant error code.
