1 Improper or incorrect disinfection
If the camera is not properly disinfected, the image will become blurry. Residues on other parts and connectors may cause further damage. The camera is recommended to be sterilized with ethylene oxide gas, not with high temperature and pressure, and try not to use immersion method for disinfection.
2 Physical impact or drop
The camera should always be handled gently. Any rough or careless operation may cause the camera to fall or hit a hard surface, and may cause serious damage. Inside the camera, the CCD is mounted on the prism group. If any of these components are disturbed, it may cause unclear images, ghosting, and other abnormal images.
3 Connection cable damage/aging
The connection cable is equipped with several thin and fragile cables. Frequent or rough use may aggravate the internal wear of the cable, especially the connection between the cable and the sheath. The internal cable may have open circuit, high impedance, poor contact, shielding wire disconnected and ineffective, etc. Improper disinfection may also cause the cable sheath to crack or break. The cable is very common.
4 Console plug damage
The plug pin may damage the gold finger due to improper insertion, and may cause image flicker, color cast and other faults.
5 Focusing prism blur
If the focusing ring cannot adjust the focal length, jam or make abnormal noise, it may be a mechanical failure. If the image is blurry after the camera is focused, it may be that the focusing prism surface is dirty, foggy or damaged.
6 Optical chuck damage
Doctors often need to change the endoscope according to the surgical situation when using the same camera. Frequent use will increase the failure rate of the chuck. It may cause the chuck to fail or corrode by water, or even drop and damage parts.
